Feliway ist die synthetische Nachbildung eines natürlichen „Duftbotenstoffes“, des sogenannten Gesichtspheromons, welches die Katze über spezielle Drüsen am Kopf an die Umgebung abgibt. Hierdurch markiert eine Katze Bereiche ihres Reviers, in denen sie sich sicher und geborgen fühlt.
Fehlen nun diese „Glückspheromone“, z.B. weil die Katze längere Autofahrten oder den Besuch beim Tierarzt absolvieren muss, hilft der Feliway Transport Spray nachweislich, den Stress des Stubentigers zu reduzieren.
