Sie besticht durch ihre Robustheit, ist wasserabweisend, röntgenstrahlendurchlässig und längselastisch bei einer Längsdehnung von ca. 60 %. Sie besitzt zudem eine hohe Klebkraft. Die Binde besteht aus einem Baumwollträger und ist mit einer Zinkoxid-Kautschuk-Klebemasse beschichtet.
