Description
Alpinamed krill oil capsules contain 500mg pure Antarctic krill oil of natural origin per capsule. Krill oil contains the polyunsaturated omega-3 fatty acids EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid). The omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA fulfil a multitude of functions in the organism. They are important for:
- Growth and development
- Regulation of blood lipids
- The cardiovascular system
- For brain function
Unlike fish oil, for example, krill oil contains these in a form that is dispersible in water, i.e. easy to distribute. This makes it considerably easier for our body to absorb and utilize them - an immense advantage especially for people with fat metabolism problems. The deep red colour of krill oil comes from the natural substance astaxanthin. The capsules are soft and pleasant to swallow.
